Adding an Administrators group to Sametime database ACLs
Add an Administrators group to the Sametime® Community Server database Access Control Lists (ACLs) and provide the Manager access level to the group.
About this task
In addition to ACL access levels, you must also specify the ACL privileges and roles that the Administrators group (or an individual user) has in each database. Generally, for an Administrators group, select all ACL privileges and roles.
Alternatively, you can add individual user names to Sametime database ACLs instead of a group, and use database roles to prevent or allow access to specific features of the Sametime Administration Tool. For more information, see Roles in Sametime databases ACLs.
- Domino® Directory (names.nsf) - Stores Person and Group documents, ACL settings, and other configuration information for the Domino and Web Application Services.
- Sametime Log (stlog.nsf) - Stores Sametime logging information.
- Domino Web Administration (webadmin.nsf) - Contains the Domino Web Administration client, which includes monitoring features for the HTTP Services and free disk space. This is the full Domino Web Administration client that is included with Domino servers.
- Sametime Name Change (stnamechange.nsf) -- If you use the AdminP feature to change a user's name in Sametime, this database processes the name change request.
- Log (log.nsf) - Stores Domino server logging information.
In Sametime V9 and later, the stconf.nsf, stcs.nsf, and stsrc.nsf databases have access control set to No Access because their functionality is no longer supported. You can modify the ACLs for those databases, but the ACL is reset back to No Access when the Sametime Community Server restarts. The stcenter.nsf database has been replaced by a new version of the Sametime Administration Tool , so the ACL access to stcenter.nsf was also removed.
