Description

HCL Informix®15.0 is available on Linux, AIX and Windows operating systems.

System requirements

Minimum disk space and memory requirements:
  • 750 MB of disk space and 256 MB of memory
Many applications require substantially larger systems. Your HCL sales team can help optimize the hardware required for your application.

Installation requires Java 11 (or higher).

Refer to the machine notes for more detailed information on system requirements.

Installing HCL Informix® 15.0

The HCL Informix Installation Guide (../../../inst/inst.html) is available on the informix documentation site.

If you are migrating from another version of Informix, make sure that you understand all migration requirements and restrictions before you install the product. For migration information, contact HCL sales team.

  • End of support:

    1. The Solaris OS has been removed in this release.

    2. The Linux 32-bit client has been removed in this release.

    3. The Communications Support Module (CSM) has been removed. In absence of CSM the alternative for secured communication is to use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)/Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols instead.

    4. CDR_MEM onconfig parameter removed as it is no longer required to be set.

    5. Support for ontape backup to cloud is no longer supported. Cloud backup is still supported by onbar.
