Initial Database Setup — create-db

Before the add-in can serve requests, the two databases must exist. In a fresh deployment, run:

> tell files create-db

This command creates file-service/file_data.nsf and file-service/file_admin.nsf from their respective design templates if they do not already exist. It then runs RestrictAgentsToServer in both databases to pin all scheduled housekeeping agents to the current server (which becomes the admin server).

Clustered environments: Run create-db on exactly one server. The databases replicate to other cluster members through normal Domino replication. Do not run create-db on secondary servers — replication is the correct propagation mechanism.

After running create-db, the add-in proceeds with its normal startup. If required settings are not yet in place the add-in will log an error and wait; configure the required settings and then reload.
