HCL Domino Workspace Accessibility.

Accessibility features help people with disabilities, such as limited mobility or vision, use information technology successfully.

Mail, calendar, and contacts accessibility features

HCL Mail, Calendar, and Contacts do not have accessibility features specific to administration because configuration and administration are integrated with HCL Domino®. For information about Domino accessibility features, see Accessibility features for Domino administrators in the HCL Domino documentation.

Keyboard shortcuts

For information about keyboard shortcuts available to users, see How can I use keyboard shortcuts? in the user documentation.

Chat and Meetings keyboard shortcuts and other accessibility features.

HCL Chat and Meetings provides chat and meeting features in HCL Domino Workspace and includes accessibility features to help people with disabilities.

Keyboard navigation and shortcuts

Chat and Meetings supports keyboard navigation without a mouse. You can use keyboard shortcuts to:

  • Navigate between your contact list, active chats, and meeting rooms.
  • Start new chats, send messages, and search for contacts.
  • Mute or unmute audio during a meeting.

Screen reader support

The Chat and Meetings web and desktop clients support assistive technologies, including screen readers such as JAWS and NVDA. Screen readers can interpret the chat interface, read incoming messages, and announce when contacts come online or go offline.

Display and low-vision support

Chat and Meetings supports accessibility settings and browser features that can help users with low vision, including:

  • High contrast: Uses high-contrast settings to make text and icons easier to see.
  • Zoom and text scaling: Support browser zoom controls to enlarge the interface and text.

HCL Forms

HCL Forms provides built-in accessibility features that help people with disabilities create and use applications. For the best accessibility experience, use the latest supported browser and screen reader. For more information, see Accessibility overview.

HCL Traveler

Most HCL Traveler content is synchronized with mobile devices, so accessibility depends on the features available on the device. The HCL Traveler server provides a main servlet page that has been tested for accessibility. The server does not provide additional accessibility features.
