Keyboard shortcuts and other accessibility features

Accessibility features help users with disabilities, such as restricted mobility or limited vision, to use information technology products successfully. HCL® strives to provide products with usable access for everyone regardless of age or ability.

Keyboard navigation

Navigation action Keyboard shortcut or action
To move to individual names on the contact list Press the **Up Arrow** or **Down Arrow**
To select a contact or group on the contact list Press the **Up Arrow** or **Down Arrow**
To expand a selected group Press the **Right Arrow**
To collapse a selected group Press the **Left Arrow**
To display a list of options for the selected contact Press **Enter**
To start a chat with a selected online contact on the contact list Press **Enter** to display the list of options and use the **Up Arrow** and **Down Arrow** to navigate to **Chat** and press **Enter**.
Navigation action Keyboard shortcut or action
To give focus to the text chat message transcript area, so that you can scroll through the chat transcript. Press **Tab** until focus is on that user interface element.
To give focus to the chat message entry area, so that you can type a chat message. Press **Tab** until focus is on that user interface element.
