Creating Viewer Application Cluster

The Viewer Server will be co-located on the HCL Docs server nodes. To this point, an additional WebSphere® Application Server instances does not need to be created. The steps will guide you through creating a new cluster for the Viewer Rendition application.

Procedure

  1. Log into the IBM® Integrated Solutions Console: https://DocsLab01.renovations.com:9043/ibm/console.
  2. Navigate to Servers > Clusters > WebSphere Application Server Clusters.
  3. Click on New.
  4. At Step 1, fill in the following information:
    Table 1. Cluster name parameterThis table provides suggested default value for cluster name.

    Cluster name IBMViewerCluster
  5. Click Next.
  6. At Step 2, fill in the following information:
    Table 2. Member parametersThis table provides suggested default values pertaining to member.
    Field Value
    Member Name IBMViewerMember1
    Node ViewerCluster_NODENAME_1, for example, Docs01
    Select Basis for first cluster member Create the member using an application server template. default
  7. Click Next.
  8. At Step 3, if additional server instances are needed, specify the member name and node then click Add Member.

  9. Click Next.
  10. At Step 4, review the summary information. Click Finish.
  11. Save the changes to the master configuration.
