Changing IBM UrbanCode Velocity into HCL™ Accelerate brand

Before you begin

IBM Rational Key License Server (RKLS) has been replaced with the FlexNet License Server. Ensure a FlexNet Device is ready to configure following the install of HCL Accelerate. If you do not already have one available, please follow the below link and directions to create a Device, map entitled licenses, and retrieve the License Server ID.
Note: If you have any FlexNet configuration issues, the HCL Support team is ready to assist you.

About this task

Convert your IBM UrbanCode Velocity into the HCL™ Accelerate brand or perform a new installation of the latter product.

Procedure

  1. Change an existing IBM UrbanCode Velocity installation into the HCL™ Accelerate brand by upgrading via your required platform.
    No other actions are required to complete the brand change.
    When the upgrade process has been successfully completed, the HCL™ Accelerate brand will be the active software product.
  2. For a new installation, you can install the HCL™ Accelerate product by following the procedure for your required platform.
    When the installation process has been successfully completed, the HCL™ Accelerate brand will be the active software product.
