To get started with HCL OneTest™
Performance Agent on
Mac OS, in addition to the GUI mode, you can also use the silent installation method to install the
product.
Before you begin
You must have uninstalled any older version of this product.
You must have installed OpenJDK 8 along with JVM OpenJ9. To download them, go to the AdoptOpenJDK portal.
- You must have created the properties file that contains the inputs for
the installer during the installation process.
Note: You must delete the
installer.properties file generated from the previous installation if you are
installing a newer version of the product.
About this task
The system requirements mentioned in the HCL Support portal
provides more information about the software and hardware requirements. The
product installer does not support the following features:
- Updates, modifications or rollback
- Integration with Visual Studio for HCL OneTest UI
Procedure
- Download the product installer from the HCL License & Delivery portal.
You can download the appropriate product variant, version, and architecture based on your
requirements.
Note: If you want to install both HCL OneTest UI and
HCL OneTest Performance on your computer, you can install the products by using a single shell-shared
HCL OneTest UI and Performance installer available in the HCL portal.
- Log in as an administrator.
- Extract the downloaded zip file.
- Change to the directory where you extracted the app file by entering the following
command:
cd <location of app file>
For example,cd HCL-OneTest-<product
name>-Mac-v10.0.2.0.app/Contents/MacOS/
- Start the installation process by entering the following
command:
./<installer name> -i silent -f /<location of properties
file>/<name of properties file>.properties For example,
HCL-OneTest-<product name>-Mac-v10.0.2.0.app -i silent -f
/Applications/installer.properties Note: If the installation is terminated due to any reason, you must check the
Installerror.txt to know more about the problem that occurred during the
installation process. The error log is located at /<installation
directory>/Logs
What to do next
You must enter the license key when you launch the product.
