Installing the product on Linux
To get started with desktop clients on Linux, install the product in the GUI mode by
using the stand-alone installer.
Before you begin
You must have uninstalled any older version of this product.
- You must have installed konsole on your computer. This is required to enable the short cut icon of the product after installation.Note: You can install konsole by entering the following command in the terminal: apt-get install konsole
You must have installed OpenJDK 8 along with JVM OpenJ9. To download them, go to the AdoptOpenJDK portal.
If you want to install the HCL OneTest™ UI on Linux machine, the following libraries must be available on your machine.
- libstdc++.so.6
- libXp.so.6
- libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0
- libXtst.so.6
- libXt.so.6
- libstdc++.so.5
- libXft.so.2
- libXm.so.4

About this task
The system requirements mentioned in the HCL Support portal
provides more information about the software and hardware requirements. The
product installer does not support the following features:
- Updates, modifications or rollback
- Integration with Visual Studio for HCL OneTest UI
