Rolling back a plug-in version to a previous version

You can roll back the plug-in to a previous version if you get errors with the current version of the plug-in.

Procedure

  1. On the Web UI, go to Settings > Automation > Installed Plugins.
  2. Search for the plug-in you want to roll back.
  3. Click the menu option on the right of the plug-in.
  4. Click Delete.
In all processes, steps from that plug-in are shown as PLUGIN DELETED. The processes cannot run until you install a new version of the plug-in and re-create the steps.
Note: If the plug-in is used in one or more snapshots, the server retains the pertinent steps to avoid breaking the snapshots. However, you cannot add these steps to new processes after you delete the plug-in.
  5. Install the previous version of the plug-in from the plug-in site.
  6. In each process that used steps from that plug-in, re-create the steps and delete the steps that are labeled as PLUGIN DELETED.
The process steps do not work until you re-create them, even if you have installed a new version of the plug-in.

Results

The plug-in version is rolled back to the previous version, and the steps from the plug-in run successfully.
