Changing the project name

The UCM integration links a project name to the name field in the corresponding Rational® ClearQuest® project record. If you change the project name in the DevOps Code ClearCase® graphic user interface (GUI), the UCM integration makes the same change to the name field in the corresponding Rational® ClearQuest® project record. Similarly, if you change the name in the Rational® ClearQuest® user database, the integration makes the same change to the project name in the DevOps Code ClearCase® repository. Before you can change the project name in a DevOps Code ClearCase® MultiSite environment, the project record and the project object must both be mastered.

Restriction: Change the project name only by using a GUI, such as Project Explorer. If you change the project name by using the command-line interface, the integration does not make the same change to the corresponding project record.

Note also that the project name cannot be the same as a folder name or a stream name.
