Administering
Run administration and maintenance tasks to keep your environment up-to-date. For example, learn how to customize your deployment or how to use the wsadmin utility to edit configuration files. You can also schedule tasks, maintain application databases, moderate content, or manage users and their roles.
Administering Bookmarks
You configure and administer Bookmarks using scripts accessed using the wsadmin client. Changes to Bookmarks configuration settings require a restart of the Bookmarks server before they take effect. Changes made using administrative commands take effect immediately.

      You can change the default favicon for a Bookmarks deployment.

      Change the default directory for the favicon cache from the IBM® websphere Application Server (WAS) administrator console.
    - Denoting sites as intranets
      You can make changes to configuration settings to denote a Bookmarks site as an intranet. Changes to Bookmarks configuration settings require node synchronization and a restart of the Bookmarks server before they take effect.

Changing the location of the favicon cache

Change the default directory for the favicon cache from the IBM® websphere Application Server (WAS) administrator console.

Before you begin

By default, the favicon cache is stored in the IBM® Connections data directory under Bookmarks. The variable is stored in the WebSphere® Application Server variables. You can change the location of the favicon cache by updating the WebSphere® Application Server variable. To change the locations, complete the following steps:

About this task

Follow these steps to change the default directory of the favicon cache or the full-text index.

Procedure

Launch the WebSphere® Application Server Integrated Solutions Console.
Select Environment > WebSphere variables.
Select DOGEAR_FAVICON_DIR from the list of WebSphere® variables.
Enter a new location for the variable in the Value field and click Apply.
Click OK.
Restart the Bookmarks server for your changes to take effect.
