This section describes how to deploy an application, deploy customized code, and deploy maintenance updates.

HCL provides Docker images that you can use to deploy an application. You can deploy the application multiple times and use each application for a different purpose. For example, you can deploy an application to use as a test environment, another application to use as a Docker development environment, and another to use as your production environment. These environments are referred to as runtime environments. The term runtime environment is used to differentiate from the development environment (where you run and customize your store).
