Reset Stores utility
The Reset Stores (resetstores) utility resets the Stores web module in your workspace to its original configuration. This configuration is equivalent to a newly created instance in the production environment. All of the published (and pre-published) store assets are deleted from the workspace.
After its execution, the Stores web module will be at the fix pack level code base. Any enabled feature pack code is lost and you must rerun the enablement scripts to apply the feature pack data to the database.
Notes:
- The utility is located in the WCDE_installdir\bin directory.
- Typical usage:
- After resetting your Derby database; see Resetting the development environment to contain only bootstrap data.
- After switching to a different database; see Changing the development database type using the setdbtype command.
If you had search enabled, the search index might no longer work. If the search index does not work, you must re-deploy the search server.
- The resetstores utility will not back up the data. As a prevention to you losing your existing data, you are presented with a warning that you will lose any existing data before continuing. You can republish the starter stores manually. For more information on how to republish the starter stores manually, see Publishing a store archive using the Publish wizard
