Deleting catalog version objects
You can delete all versions of sales
catalogs, categories, and catalog entries (product, SKU, bundle, and
kit) using the Database Cleanup utility.
Procedure
- From the WC_installdir/bin directory,
run the following script:

- ./dbclean.sh -object content_version -type typename -instancexml WC_installdir/instances/instance_name/xml/instance_name.xml -db dbname -dbuser user -days daysold -loglevel loglevel
- dbclean -object content_version -type typename -instancexml WC_installdir/instances/instance_name/xml/instance_name.xml -db dbname -days daysold -loglevel loglevel

- ./dbclean.sh -object content_version -type typename -instancexml WC_installdir/instances/instance_name/xml/instance_name.xml -db dbname -days daysold -loglevel loglevel -dbtype oracle -dbuser user -dbpasswd password
- dbclean -object content_version -type typename -instancexml WC_installdir/instances/instance_name/xml/instance_name.xml -db dbname -days daysold -loglevel loglevel -dbtype oracle -dbuser user -dbpasswd password
Use host:port:sid for the database name for example, myhost:1521:mydb.
Notes:- For the -type parameter, you can specify:
- inactive: Delete all the versions that are daysold from the date they were created, excluding the base version.
- catalog: Delete all the versions of sales catalog that are daysold from the date they were created, excluding the base version.
- catalog_group: Delete all the versions of categories that are daysold from the date they were created, excluding the base version.
- catalog_entry: Delete all the versions of catalog entry that are daysold from the date they were created, excluding the base version.

- Examine the WC_installdir/instances/instance_name/logs/DBClean/DBClean.timestamp.log file.
