  - Overview of the Remote Control system
    The Remote Control system enables remote control through three core components—Target, Controller, and Server—with optional managed-mode services (CLI tools, Gateway, Broker) for secure or external connectivity. Targets can operate in peer-to-peer or managed mode, while the Server centralizes policies, authentication, auditing, and session launch.

    The Remote Control components can be installed in two ways. If you have access to the BigFix® console, use a deployment fixlet to install the components.

    You can configure target properties either during or after installation. The operating system on the target system determines which properties can be configured. The target properties determine the actions that can be carried out during a peer-to-peer session. If you set a server URL and set the Managed property to Yes, the actions are determined by the policies that are set on the Remote Control server.

Verifying that the groups are imported

About this task

When authentication is successful and you are logged on to the Remote Control server, click User groups > All User Groups to verify that the correct groups were imported from Microsoft Entra ID. After the groups are imported into Remote Control, define permissions for the newly imported groups.
