Installing and Monitoring
Install BigFix Application Control on managed Windows endpoints in two steps using the BigFix Console: first, run the identification Fixlet to find endpoints that do not yet have Application Control installed; second, execute the installer task on those endpoints to deploy the solution. After deployment, monitor endpoint status to confirm successful installation across your environment.

Run the Fixlet: Endpoint Not Configured For Application Control in the BigFix Console to identify managed Windows endpoints that are subscribed to the BigFix Application Control external site but do not yet have the solution installed. Identify Endpoints Not Configured for BigFix Application Control

Run the Fixlet: Endpoint Not Configured For Application Control in the BigFix Console to identify managed Windows endpoints that are subscribed to the BigFix Application Control external site but do not yet have the solution installed. This health-check step is a prerequisite for the installation task and produces a list of target endpoints from the Applicable Computers tab.

About this task

Use this Fixlet to identify endpoints that are not yet configured for BigFix Application Control.

This identification step can be considered as a prerequisite for installing Application Control on an endpoint. Use the Fixlet: Endpoint Not Configured For Application Control to identify the endpoints or devices not protected by BigFix Application Control but are subscribed to the external site. This Fixlet lists the devices on which you can configure BigFix Application Control.

Procedure

In the BigFix Console, navigate to All Content > BigFix Application Control > Fixlets and Tasks.

From the Fixlets and Tasks pane, select Fixlet: Endpoint Not Configured For Application Control.

This Fixlet does not contain any action script and the result set is based on client relevance’s to get the details of devices not managed by BigFix Application Control.
Select the Applicable Computers tab and view the list of devices not managed by BigFix Application Control.

Results

This Fixlet is a health-check tool that administrators can use before installing BigFix Application Control on any managed endpoint. The Applicable Computers tab lists the specific endpoints to target in the next installation step.
