Excluding files

Exclude certain types of files from the scan.

About this task

You can configure AppScan to ignore specific types of files, rather than complete pages, as in the Exclude paths settings. For example, you could make the scan run faster by excluding graphics. However, you must exclude files with caution, as they might contain important issues.

Procedure

  1. OpenConfiguration > Excluded paths and files
  2. In the Excluded files list section, make sure the checkboxes of the file types that you do not want to be scanned are selected.
  3. To add a file type, click +Add, and enter the file type and the extensions to be excluded, and then click Add.
  4. To manage the excluded file types, click , and select Edit to modify or Delete to delete the file type.
