HCL AppScan Source Database Configuration: solidDB

The AppScan® Source Database configuration panel displays if you have chosen to install the AppScan Enterprise Server, but not AppScan Source Database, in the Server Component Selection panel. The AppScan Enterprise Server requires a database server. If you do not install the database using the installation wizard, you will need to configure a remote database that the Enterprise Server can connect to, using the AppScan Source Database Configuration panel.

Procedure

In the HCL® AppScan Source Database Configuration panel:
  1. Select solidDB® as the Server Type (this is the default server type).
  2. Identify the DB Server Host Name, such as AppScanSourceHost.
  3. Identify the DB Server Port (default port is 2315).
Note: If you specify a DB Server Port other than 2315, you will need to update solidDB connection settings after installing the product. To do this:
    1. Open <install_dir>\solidDB\appscansrc\solid.ini (on Windows™) or <install_dir>/soliddb/appscansrc/solid.ini (on Linux™) (where <install_dir> is the location of your AppScan Source installation). In the file, locate the NETWORK NAME setting and change its port number value. For example if you have installed the database on Windows and want to change its port number to 12345, find Listen=tcpip 2315, nmpipe SOLID ; Windows (the default value of the setting on Windows) and change it to Listen=tcpip 12345, nmpipe SOLID ; Windows. Save the changes to the file.
    2. Open <data_dir>\config\database.ozsettings (on Windows) or <data_dir>/config/database.ozsettings (on Linux) (where <data_dir> is the location of your AppScan Source program data, as described in Installation and user data file locations). In the file, locate the db_connection_information setting and change its port number value. For example if you want to change the port number to 12345, find value="tcp localhost 2315" and change it to value="tcp localhost 12345". Save the changes to the file.
    3. Restart the HCL AppScan Source DB service.
  4. Identify the DB User Name and DB Password.
  5. Click Next to advance to the next installation panel.
